Product Care Information

Each type of product will have different requirements for caring for it. Whether it’s a print, original drawing, or painting, all of the appropriate measures will be taken to ensure its journey from my studio to your home is safe.

How Do I Preserve My Original Drawing?

Depending on the size of the drawing, it may be shipped in a flat parcel or in a rolled tube.

Each drawing is sent out without the application of a fixative. This choice was made in order to preserve the original tones and shades of the drawing. Instead, each drawing is shipped between sheets of glassine paper, a grease, water, and air-resistant paper ideal for transporting fine art. Charcoal may be fixed, but it must be done so carefully. You may decide you would like it fixed or hung in a frame. If you would like to preserve your drawing and decide to hang it in a frame, applying a fine art fixative may not be necessary.

How Do I Preserve My Original Painting?

Paintings will be shipped in heavy-duty boxes

Every painting is completed in oils, with the exception of the acrylic paintings completed for the ‘Now For Some Colour’ collection, and a final varnish is applied to the dry surface to preserve the oil painting. This protects the painting for a very long time. An original oil painting may be framed to protect it further. It is recommended, for archival purposes, to store your oil painting out of direct sunlight, and in moderate room temperatures away from humidity.

How Do I Preserve My Fine Art Print?

Prints are shipped in a postal tube or in envelopes. Any handling of a fine art print should be done with clean and dry hands. For a longer life, framing the print would protect it from any elements, but is not necessary. It is also recommended to keep your fine art prints out of direct sunlight.
